The past two years I've done the 20 mile drop...so today's 10 miler wasn't so intimidating. Just know that we have a marathon in 7 days...so I went in thinking of this as a training run (sort of)

10 Mile Drop
I'm way behind on adding anything to this blog...even skipped the March run log... I'm going to do my best to catch up ~ lots of pics from DC and Arizona and life...but for now, I'll do today's race report.

Dodd, Mike, Me & Leslie got in the car early morning & drove to Fairport. We loaded the bus after we found Lily and Kevin & off we went to wait in the bathroom line. This race is a drop in elevation from Chardon to Fairport...but it is not down hill. I, of course, started off fast & was sub-8 for the first three miles. Slowed down from there, but felt good the whole race. Knowing I had a marathon in 7 days was part of it, but I am afraid to not have something left in the tank at the end. (been there) Kept Mike in sight for the entire race & he finished about a minute before me. Happy with my time (not a PR) and my first place age group win.
