The Bird's Nest by Shirley Jackson is book
#12. It's a strange tale of a girl who has splintered into 4 different personalities. It's interesting and weird and hard to follow at times. I'm sure it was very forward thinking in 1954 when so little was known about mental illness. {It's strange to type that, because do we really know so very much more now?}
It would be an interesting book club read...there are many discussion points...like, what really happened to mother? Was Auntie just as crazy at Elizabeth? What happened with the father?
