Remarkable Creatures: A Novel by Tracy Chevalier. (library magic on my Kindle) It's set in Lyme Regis in the early 1800's about Elizabeth Philpot and Mary Anning who were fossil hunters at a time when the finding of fossils and thinking about extinct animals was considered blasphemous by many. It was an interesting tale of society, class, women and geology. And then I finished the story and come to the postscript. The characters were real people, fictionalized in this story, but Mary Anning was a real live person who discovered many of the prehistoric fossils we know today. Amazing.
